An enclosed room at the museum provides opportunities to try out various instruements such as a violin, an organ, a xylophone and a trumpet.
The Midland Center for the Arts offers performances and exhibitions in music, theatre, dance, visual art, history and science. There is constantly something new and interesting happening at The Center For The Arts that is sure to keep everyone in the family pleased. There are performances such as plays, concerts, lectures and much more.

The Hall Of Ideas, located in The Center For The Arts, is a discovery museum that encourages learning through interaction. This hands on museum is excellent for children by being both engaging and educational. The museum includes an American mastadon skeleton, a look into sound and instruments and even an opportunity to sit in a John Deere combine. The top level of the museum features special exhibits throughout the year. Admission to the museum is now free of charge thanks to an underwriting grant from The Dow Chemical Company Foundation. A giant replica of DNA is one of the many interesting models found. The senses of sight, sound, touch and smell are all stimulated to provide for an incredible tour.
